Blood tests: Start with blood tests, may have been done already. Your pituitary gland produces TSH which stimulates the thyroid to produce thyroxine. A very high TSH level suggests inactive thyroid. A low TSH suggests a pituitary problem. Normal tsh, you may have a problem "converting" thyroxine to "t3", the active from. This could be due to effect of other drugs, or other problems.
