Not unreasonable: I will often recommend an NSAID "burst", with aleve (naproxen) taken twice daily for a week or 10 days, sometimes at twice the otc dose. This is not a good idea if you have sensitivity to the medication, kidney issues, or so forth, but can be a safe and inexpensive way to relieve residual inflammation. If symptoms persist after the burst, however, a more in depth evaluation is often required.
