Tendonitis: You should be stretching you hamstrings and quads, ice the front of your knee regularly and doing some cross friction massage on the area that hurts the most. This will help your worsening symptoms resolve. It can take a while so be patient. Stairs increase the stress on this area so try to decrease as you can.
