See doc for options: It's always wise to discuss additional medication options with your physician. Nsaids (advil, aleve, celebrex, (celecoxib) meloxicam) can be good pain relievers, but the associated risks must be considered, especially in elderly individuals. Applying an ice pack for 20 minutes 3-5 times/day can help. Narcotic pain relievers such as hydrocodone can be considered for short-term use. A tens unit is an option.
