Pressure/ pregnancy: After 37 weeks, pressure in the vagina is very common in pregnancy. If you have not had any symptoms of preterm labor previously, there is probably nothing to worry about. If your cervix was already dilated, or you had preterm labor earlier in the pregnancy, call your OB doc to see what you should do. If not, mention the symptoms at your next visit. If concerned, go to the hospital for eval.

Normal: The baby may have "dropped" meaning it has descended to some degree in the pelvis & that causes a lot of pelvic or vaginal pressure. Even before the baby drops sometimes the weight of the baby against the pelvic ligaments can refer pressure to the lower pelvis and abdomen. Sounds normal.
