Husbands are there!: These days, a baby's father is usually present for the whole process of labor and delivery. Often, the father can cut the umbilical cord - with the doctor's guidance, of course. You may both benefit from childbirth education classes offered at your hospital for through childbirth education association. In my opinion, this is an important experience to share as a couple.
