Why does my right eye hurt when i lightly press it?

Many causes: There are many causes of this, and only an eye exam can make the diagnosis. Eyelid tenderness or low grade infection of the lids can cause this, as can mild orbital inflammation possibly related to sinus disease nearby. Eye inflammation itself can lead to tenderness or pain. Best to leave it alone or get it checked.
