How quickley can a uti turn to a kidney infection? have uti and on antibiotics but starting to have some flank pain.

Uti: A UTI can worsen into pyelonephritis at any point. Pain isnt the only symptom for this. Usually also fever/chills. See your doctor to make sure you are on the right antibiotics. ( doing a urine culture)they can order an ultrasound or ct scan if suspect pyelonephritis.
