Rotator cuff repair: You can develop tendonitis after rotator cuff repair as well as bursitis. Your rehab should follow your surgeons protocol so as not to risk failure. Good luck.

Unlikely: You had a pretty large tear. I presume if was 2 inches that most of your supraspinatus was torn. Would be more helpful to know how retracted it was. "impingement" is a debatable subject amongst shoulder surgeons. I would be more inclined to ask what your therapist means. The cuff may still be weak since surgery. If still weak at this point i would be more interested in knowing if repair took.
