Refer to answer: There is an new arthritis we have been seeing in the hip for the seven years. Work up indicates is auto immune disorder. Have your dr. Run cbc, diff, esr.Ana, rf, CRP and ccp + tsh. Most been benefitted from combination of methotexate 2.5/week and plaqinel 200/day. Scoping did not stop the artheritis. Medicine did.

Maybe: As a hip arthroscopist, the most concerning part of the procedure that you had is the micro fracture. This means that you had some cartilage loss. The degree of cartilage damage is what will determine what your ultimate outcome is likely to be. If it was a small area you should do well.

Hip pain: I think a lot will depend on the degree of arthritis found at time of index surgery. The surgeon should be able to prognosticate --assuming minimal arthritis you should be able to return to your line of work.

Maybe: I suspect you may mean osteoarthritis as apposed to osteoporosis. The fact that u underwent microfracture suggests areas of high grade cartilage loss. Patients with early arthritis as a rule have the poorest outcomes especially with respect to return to physically demanding activities.
