Constipation: If the baby is eating and drinking normally and abdomen ( tummy) feels soft and baby is not fussy; then it is ok. If any of above symptoms are there along with constipation, it's not ok. Then baby needs to be evaluated by md.

Maybe,maybe not: Breast fed kids can stool a bit every feed or have a single blow out once a week. Formula babies & those fed solids usually stool at least daily. If baby is not drinking enough to pee every 6 hrs & acting otherwise sick, an office visit is needed to sort out the issue. If eating & drinking well & playing normally, you may just need to give it a day or so & add prune juice to the liquids.
