A member asked:

Can clomid (clomiphene) cause triphasic basal body temperature charts (when not pregnant)? if so, how?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Biphasic temp: Basal body temps are usually less than 98 degrees prior to ovulation and above 98 after ovulation. That is a normal biphasic temp chart indicating ovulation. Clomid (clomiphene) should increase the chances of ovulation and the likelihood of a biphasic chart. No "triphasic" chart that I am aware of. Sometimes Clomid (clomiphene) may cause a little bump in temp above 98 while taking the medicine in the first half of cycle.
