Yes, its possible.: Certain kinds of testicular cancer (choriocarcinoma, embryonal carcinoma, & 10% of seminoma) can produce beta-hcg, the compound that home pregnancy tests (hpt) detect. Not all testicular tumors produce this marker, so an hpt is not a good screening test for testis cancer. Testicular self-exam is still the most important for early detection. Beta-hcg is also elevated with other cancers in men.

And why would a man: Test his urine for pregnancy? While it is true that beta-hcg can be positive in germ cell tumors, or testis or elsewhere, usually the serum is tested after the clinical finding of a mass. Every test can be falsely positive, or negative, so wasting a pregnancy test on a boy can do no good. He shoud exmine himself or get a doctor to do so if concerned, not do a pregnancy test.
