Repeat in a day : Just repeat the test in a day or two. If you are pregnant the hormone will rise and the test will be clearly positive. If you are not pregnant it won't show up.

A 29-year-old female asked:

I just took a pregnancy test and there was a bold line and then a fainted line next to it. If I were pregnant wouldn't both lines be bold?

Not always: A positive pregnancy test has a positive "control" line that should be obviously positive, and a positive "test" line than can be faint early in a pregnancy (because there is not that much bHCG in the urine early in pregnancy). If one gets a faint "test" line, just do a second test 7 days later.
