Ganglion cyst?: You may be describing a ganglion cyst that can "disappear" depending upon the movement & articulation (joints) of your bones. But that's just pure speculation on my part. Cyst: There are many things that cause swellings but at the wrist, it would be most common to have a ganglionic cyst. Other possibilities are traumatic cyst, lymph node, etc. The only way to know for sure what it is is for you to have it examined and perhaps a test called MRI or ultrasound to image the lesion. I would have your physician look at it and evaluate it.
