De Quervain's: Inflammation of one of the most important flexor tendons in the wrist is a good possibility. Evaluation by an upper-extremity orthopedic physician is the avenue of choice. You will likely receive a steroid injection with almost miraculous and often permanent relief (providing you don't injure the tendon again).
