Yes, try bdrm first: At your age, ttc after a period of absence should not pose any problems. If you were on bcp, however, it could take 3-6 months to resume regular ovulation / menstruation. Practice makes perfect. If want eval, start w/male, as sperm count is all he needs, female gets blood work, then possibly very complicated workup.

Discuss with OB : Most fertility specialists do not get concerned if you have not given it some time. However, you could start with the obgyn & find some local sources.This area of health care is rarely covered by health insurance & if you decide to invest in the information & testing on your own i'm sure there are those out there that can help.

No: It's not time to go to the doctor yet. If you've been on birth control pills and stop them, then you'll be ovulating the next month. If you've been on Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) shots, it may take 6-9 months to start ovulating. Now is the time to start "trying" to make a baby, taking into account what form of birth control you were using. Only after you have unprotected sex for a year w/ no baby is dr appt time.
