A member asked:

What kind of longivity can a person expect who has a.fib?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Prognosis of Afib: Afib appears to be a risk factor for increased mortality in otherwise healthy older individuals and those with coexisting cardiovascular disease. This effect is more prominent in women. People under the age of 60 with afib but no structural heart disease are considered to have a good prognosis.
