Need treatment: You were closer to your trigger--whatever that may be. Also, untreated, anxiety & panic tend to get worse, so you need to seek psych assistance asap. A therapist or psychologist can work with you to identify your trigger(s) and help you resolve them. Your dr or a psychiatrist can rx medicines to help reduce symptom severity & frequency during treatment.

Determine cause & Rx: First you need to determine the cause of the anxiety and determine if there is a psychological or disease state that is responsible such as low calcium or nerve compression. Anxiety may trigger hyperventilation that may also lead to physical conditions. In either case see a psychiatrist or your internist as a first step and go from there.
