Body-mind: Although it is imperative to have such symptoms checked out for 'purely physical' causes, numbness can occur with anxiety, such as during a panic attack. In addition, emotional conflicts can be expressed through physical symptoms--either completely unexplained or a worsening of an explainable medical cause. Mind and body do interact, and it is important to respect this form of communication.
