Being unique: It's difficult to stand out from one's peers. The good news is that in the natural course of events, one rises over time into peer-groups that ever more closely match your unique mix of qualities. Very athletic people rise into groups of similarly skilled athletes by comparison to whom they differ less. Likewise for academic ability --and maturity. Be patient, talk to an older and wiser mentor.
