No: Children swallow air when they drink and that leads to burping. The amount can change from time to time. It should not cause any problems as long as the child is not also throwing up a lot. Throwing up can be a risk for pneumonia, bronchitis or cough. Ask your child's doctor about it the next time you have a scheduled visit.
