A member asked:

When i chew my right ear hurts (bad pain). it can also happen to my left ear sometimes. the pain only lasts for a day and comes again. is this serious?

TMJ: If chewing leads to ear pain, this is likely due to inflammation in your temporomandibular joint. The pain you are experiencing in your ear is likely referred pain, from the tm joint. See your primary care doctor for examination and treatment recommendations.
