Concerned...: Your symptoms are potentially concerning for either angioedema or esophageal obstruction. Angioedema is a allergic reaction that can cause swelling of the back of the throat causing soreness and difficulty swallowing. Esophageal obstruction could be caused by a foriegn body lodged in the esophagus such as a bolus of food or pills. Both warrant urgent medical attention. Good luck.
