Most of them: Mercury toxicity from fish consumption is theoretical. In general pregnant women in the United States should eat more fish. Nevertheless some fish are known to have high mercury concentrations and should be avoided. They are grouper, marlin, orange roughy, tilefish, swordfish, shark, and mackeral. Safe fish include haddock, whitefish, salmon, sole, and tilapia, .

Shrimp, tuna, salmon: You should avoid eating shark, swordfish, king mackerel, or tilefish during pregnancy. These large fish contain high levels of mercury. Common types of fish that are low in mercury are shrimp, canned light tuna (not albacore, which has a higher mercury content), salmon, pollock, and catfish. You can safely eat up to 12 ounces (about two meals) of these fish per week while you are pregnant.

Canned tuna: Canned tuna is pretty good, but not in large quantities - everything in moderation.
