Has there been a permanent cure developed for schizophrenia yet?

No: Medications decrease or even eliminate many of the symptoms, but it is still a chronic, progressive illness. It is a syndrome with many possible causes. Some cases may be prevented in the future by genetic studies, but not all cases are genetic. Cure implies reversing the process which is less likely.
