What can i do about stinging eye redness?

Many causes: Eye stinging and redness can be from dry eye, allergy, low grade infections like blepharitis, and from exposure to airborne irritants. An eye exam can help determine the cause and treatment plan. Artificial tears can help relieve most symptoms and causes, especially preservative free ones. Avoid otc allergy drops and "get the red out" drops as these are relatively toxic to the eye.

Artificial tears: It sounds like your eyes are dry. Lubricating eye drops are helpful and may be used several times per day. Warm compresses to your closed eyelids may also soothe your eyes by stimulating your eyelids to aide in oil secretion. Humidifying your local living environment, avoiding direct air movement, decrease computer/electronic usage, think blink all may help. Good luck.
