Hypnosis: Hypnosis, or some form of inner focus, can be a powerful tool, allowing you to create emotional distance from bad memories. Often our memories are confabulations, a mixture of actual recollections, dreams, things we have been told, and our present reality. In guided imagery, or even emdr, we can explore our memories through our observing egos, and then let the bad go and reinforce the good.
