Many ways: People with the illness of major depression often do need antidepressants as part of their treatment. All of us, though, can increase chances of being happy through finding a purpose for living every day. Work, relationships, creative expression, and play are all important to living a healthy life; healthy diet with regular exercise are part of this too. For many, a spiritual focus helps also.
