Acid reflux: Stomach acid refluxing back into esophagus is painful. So avoiding acid stimulation and overfilling your stomach will help. Alcohol, and tobacco drive acid production. Also avoid large fatty meals, carbonated beverages, and lying down after eating (stay upright for 2 hours). Check in with your doc to consider anti acid medication and referral for scoping/egd. Tums, (calcium carbonate) over the counter, work well.
