Be vigilant: Oxycontin - oxycodone is a chemical name. It is prepared in an extended release form. It is a schedule ii drug accdg. To dea schedule/ it is a potent opioid indicated for moderate to severe pain. Like any potent opioids the side effects are similar. There is potential for physical dependence, euphoria, gastrointestinal side effects like nausea, constipation , respiratory depression is a risk.
