A member asked:

Brain injury oxygen deprivation are there institutions which specialize in brain injuries due to oxygen deprivation after taking oxycoten?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Sorry to hear about your loved one. There is nothing specific about oxycontin-induced anoxic brain injury; however, there are rehab facilities that do specialize in brain injury. Much can be done to help some patients to regain some of their activities of daily living, however most of this is general to all brain injury. Look for good management of family expectations while maximizing function.
