Estimation : Ovulation dates are estimates based on the menstrual cycle. Generally, one ovulated 14 days before the start of the next menstrual cycle. If one's cycle is regular, ovulation can be estimated fairly easily. If one has an irregular cycle, estimation becomes much more difficult.
