Could you die from septic shock from pneumonia if you were put under?

Not sure: Do you mean undergoing general anesthesia? This is safe and pneumonia from anesthesia rarely happens unless it's an emergency surgery where there isn't time to empty the stomach completely. Pneumonia can cause septic shock and fatalities regardless of the cause.
