Many!: Type one diabetes and many drugs, such as Prednisone can adversely affect the pancreas. You need to make a list of your medications and meet with your doctor to discuss if they can affect your pancreas. Lupus, per se, does not cause pancreatitis. Systemic lupus erythematosus is treated with many drugs that can do this!

Drugs to treat SLE.: Systemic lupus erythematosus typically does not affect the pancreas, but type one diabetes is more common in lupus. Also, many drugs, including Prednisone used to treat sle can adveresly affect pancreatic function or cause pancreatitis.
