Maybe: If there are multiple bruises they woul be healing at a different rate and may be able to pinpoint different injury.

I had an ankle injury years ago and to this day it gives out a lot, hurts to move it at times, pressure can hurt, swell, turn red, and look bruised. I tried ankle strengthen exercises but nothing seems to work for me and doctors it when brought up?
