I have had a heavy period for 4 weeks now. what can it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many possibilities : Heavy bleeding for 4 straight weeks has wide range of possibilities depending on whether pregnant vs not pregnant, ovulatory vs anovulatory. It may include miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, anovulatory bleeding, hormonal abnormalities (thyroid, prolactin), polycystic ovarian syndrome, uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps, cancer, infection, bleeding disorder, etc. Best to seek gyn consultation.
