Will I ever get my pre-pregnancy body back?

Dr. Robert Kwok
Pediatrics 33 years experience
No: One can get her pre-pregnancy weight back, and work out with weights to get in great shape again, but cannot truly get her "pre-pregnancy" body back. That is because a pre-pregnancy body is a different stage in a woman's life than a post-pregnancy body. One's age is older, and some permanent changes have occurred, especially after several babies.

Dr. Janesta Noland

Depends: During the first weeks of life, baby's nervous system is immature. Babies can shiver or shake related to that immaturity. In an older baby, shivering often precedes fever, or happens when temperature is rising quickly.

What is the best method to find basal body temperature?

1 doctor answer1 doctor weighed in
Dr. Neeoo Chin
Fertility Medicine 40 years experience
Not accurate: As you first wake up place a basal body thermometer underneath your tongue for approximately 3 minutes. A digital thermometer is easier and more convenient. Unfortunately basal body temperature taking is very confusing. Any type of movement or any type of activity prior to awakening in taking the temperature will falsely elevated the temperature. Also when the temperature has risen approximately .6 to 1° ovulation has already occurred.
