Self manage first: Reflux and regurgitation is very common. Before you see your doctor try some things at home first. Eliminate citrus, chocolate, caffeine, carbonated drinks, smoking and alcohol. Avoid eating or drinking too fast. Avoid laying down within 2 hours of finishing a meal. Try taking an otc acid blocker such as tums, Pepcid (famotidine) or prilosec. If you continue to have symptoms then go see a doctor.
