Unfortunately, no.: Perioprotect trays are an fda approved devices that are custom made to the shape of your teeth and gums. They have a patented seal on the gum that your whitening trays do not have. Without that seal, the tray is ineffective at treating gum disease.

No, not really.: The perioprotect trays must fit precisely and the "gaskets" along the gingival margins must be fabricated in order to seal the area and hold the periogel in place. The trays are actually fda approved and regulated. Periodontal disease is very serious and you really don't want to "ad lib".

Yes: Not sure what your question is do you want to use existing trays with perioprotect....Do you have gunm disease? You might want to use ozoniated oil in the trays rather then perioprotect ..The ozone is released from the oil and is very effective in reducing bacterial levels.

No: The trays have a very specific design to them that allows the medicaments to work. Bleaching trays do not have that design.

Good thought: You have a good thought. The real answer is no. Perio protect has special impression instructions and materials that seep into the gums so that the trays can be made to hold the medications in the infected pockets. It is a real hassle to take these impressions but it is necessary.

Not wise!: It is never a good idea for someone to attempt to treat themselves for something usually left to a professional. More often than not, they get themselves into trouble and are sorry for every trying. Besides, who's goin to monitor your you and your periodontal health? There are better ways to save your money that really are effective. This is not one of them.
