Can joints be restored after tissue injury, from cracking nuckles? and why is it painful to stretch my fingers out?

Get crackin: I am not sure that reliable evidence exists where cracking of knuckles causes tissue injury. Having said that, when joint tissue is damaged, it heals with generation of scar tissue. This tissue may or may not be a problem but it is not normal restored tissue. Pain from stretching anything out could be from over exerting the stretch receptors or from existance of an underlying inflammation.
