Tylenol (acetaminophen) safest: Could take 1000mg of tylenol (acetaminophen) three times a day. If you don't have stomach issues, you can add NSAID like Ibuprofen 400 to 600 mg three times a day with meals if need more.

Depends: It really depends on what is the cause of the pain. Need to see a doctor to determine cause. Once that is known the best therapy can be given.
