Would: Would a bile binder like questran/cholestyramine help my ibd?

If: If you have had ibd for more than ten years, ask your doc about routing colonoscopic screening.

What: What is my exact diagnosis? What medicines do I need to take to get better? How should I change diet?

How: How long should I take the meds? What are the side-effects? Can i take herbal meds? Can you sign my fmla?

Ask: Ask about medications that you should avoid, such as nsaids.

Compliance: Be compliant with the meds prescribed. Ask your doctor to explain to you what each medication does.

Does and Dont's: Ask your dietitician for specific diet to adhere to.

Is: Is it definitely crohn's or ulcerative colitis or is there some ambiguity? As about 15% there is...

Ask: Ask your doctor about serology, genetics and inflammatory marker blood testing to aid diagnosis ibd.

Ignore: Crohn's or ulcerative colitis, how often you need colonoscopy, risks for cancer, medications to help.

Ignore: What kind of inflammatory bowel disease do I have. What is my cancer risk? How do I watch for it?

Ignore: What medical and or psychiatric or psychological disciplines should be involved in a comprehensive treatment plan for my condition.

Ignore: Ask about anxiety, food allergies and sensitivities, and your diet as possible causes.

Ignore: Are you ok with my using complementary treatments? Which ones should I avoid?

Ignore: Where in my body is it occurring, location and severity of disease. What diet changes can i make?

Ignore: Ask your doctor if everything you eat causes diarrhea or constipation.
