Aerobics: Aerobic exercise is paramount to shift your calorie balance into the negative zone (losing more than consuming). Diet is another thing. Eat no later than 6 o'clock. Consume at least 1/2 gallon of water a day if no more. 30 minutes of aerobics. Avoid high calorie foods - eggs, dairy (whole milk), fats. Eat as little sweets and no fast food! belly press exercises may be of some help as well.

Lose weight: It's not typically possible to "spot reduce." however, by losing weight, a proportionate amount of that weight will be reduced from the belly. Exercises that strengthen the abdominals will tone these muscles, but will not reduce fat. Burning more calories than you eat will result in this weight loss. Use a formula found online to determine your required amount of daily calories, and eat 500 fewer.

Nutrient dense foods: Eat foods that are nutrient dense (like meat, fish, poultry, eggs, cheese, low starch vegatables and water) avoid foods that are not nutrient dense (like starches and sugars, including fruit) nutrient dense foods will increase your basal metabolic rate. On the other hand, starches and sugars impair thyroid metabolism via affects on your liver (which helps activate thyroid hormone).

Few suggestions...: Take control of your energy management system by controlling your energy intake and managing your Insulin pump. You do this by altering your food intake such that your energy spent is 500-1000 greater than energy consumed. Increasing energy output through exercise can help you achieve this. Over time you will lose weight and belly fat in the process. There is no way to spot reduce fat depots.

Calories burned must > calories consumed. To tighten ab's do crunches, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, pelvic thrusts, lying leg raises, side bridge & “bicycling” exercise on your back. Engage in regular aerobic exercise.

Abdominal exercises: To help the tummy look flatter, one can do exercises to build very strong abdominal muscles. It will take a lot of work, and will burn off calories. One must not eat more calories than he burns off, or he cannot lose weight! Helpful weight loss foods are natural foods that take time to chew but contain few calories. Examples include carrots, celery, and leafy lettuce (without salad dressing).

Lose weight: Some women mostly store fat on butt and thighs, some on belly; others all over. Lose weight (fat) and things get smaller (just not as much as you may like). Inadequate protein, iron intake, excess in total calories in, relative excess in carbohydrate calories in (especially simple sugars), and alcohol intake all play a role. Inadequate calorie spending, i.e. Activity, if not exercise, is key.

Diet, and surgery: Everyone should diet/exercise. If your body stores fat at the abdomen predominantly that will be the last area to go often. That is where liposuction, tummy tuck, and some new non-invasive procedures: coolsculpting, liposonix, can come in handy.

Spot fat loss does: Not occur naturally. By losing weight in general some will probably be abdominal fat. But, we don't get to choose what area of body fat is lost from. Tighten ab's: crunches, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, pelvic thrusts, lying leg raises, side bridge ; “bicycling” exercise on back. Do regular aerobic exercise.

Cannot target: You need to address your health in general. Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco or alcohol in any form. Reduce intake and increase physical activity.
