My mum is 75yrs. she had colon cancer and was operated on successfully. but now doc says she has rectum cancer stage 4. how long will she live?

Stage 4 Colon Cancer: Statistically, 8-15% of stage 4 colon cancer patients are alive after 5 years. Stage 4 cancer is the most aggressive type and although palliative treatments are available to relieve pain and suffering, curative treatments are not typically available. Predicting life expectancy in such a circumstance is always problematic for an individual patient, though.

No definite answer: The answer to this question depends on a lot of variables. It depends on how far the tumor has spread and to what organs, her overall health, and what treatments she is eligible for.
