See below: Use stove exhaust fan on high. Put fan in window nearest the stove/kitchen to suck fumes out. Spray nasal passages with nasal or other otc saline spray. Go outdoors while fumes r removed/dissipate. Wash out burned dish or dispose of it to prevent more fumes/ entering air. If respiratory problems worsen, see pcp. Better luck with the pasta/chicken next time.

Ventilate the room: Smoke or any type of air particles / pollution can irritate airway. Upper airways leading to cold symptoms[rhinitis] and lower airways leading to cough and wheeze[reactive airways/ asthma]. Ventilate the room/s and and stay out of it till the air is cleared .Seek medical attention if any difficulty with breathing. Maybe next time have someone else cook.
