Hard: It is hard to tell what drugs to use because if no identifiable problem is known, you are at the mercy of luck. Rogain is a well known medication primarily used for male baldness but is also used in females with similar features of hair loss, usually seen in older years. Younger females may have some autoimmune disorders that are responsible for hair loss but are not easily diagnosed.

No magic medicines: There are many types of hair loss. For age-related hair loss, a doctor may use rogaine (minoxidil). For other causes, hair may grow back after the disorder is resolved: over-brushing, hormonal imbalances, stress, chemotherapy, autoimmune disorders, infection, etc... A doctor can evaluate for these other causes of hair loss. Normal people may lose 50-100 hairs/day, which are replaced by "new" hairs.
