Yes- if soaked: If your pads are soaked when they are changed then you are bleeding heavily and anemia may ensue- a gynecologist can usually decrease you flow as well as the number of days you bleed with hormonal therapy. If you change your pads as soon as they get slightly soiled, then you don't need to see a gynecologist.
