Deep breathing ok: It is not uncommon for a person to intermittently take a deep breath or sigh; it is basically a form of air exchange to keep the small lung airways open and is not harmful to the lungs. If however, a person feels unable to take a deep breath, a doctor can review the history, consider chest x-ray and perform other tests as needed.
