MUST WORK UP FURTHER: Palpitations are possible caused by arrhythmia: do u have this DX yet? Work-up of physical exam, ekg, echo cardiogram, blood work most of time normal in such cases. The history is the most important diagnostic tool (between the docs ears) almost always. I've seen many pts with similar symtoma that needed coronary artery stenting or bypass. Need dx: interventional cardiologist and rhythm expert.

Lots of things: Stimulants such as caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, decongestants, illicit drugs, stress, and unknown heart conduction short circuits.
